Who We Are

Since our incorporation in 1994, the Camelot Center has dreamed of building a riding center completely designed to serve our disabled friends and neighbors here in the Mahoning Valley. In January 2005, our dream became a reality when we held our first lesson in our new facility. Our present location in Southington features eight stalls attached to a small temporary arena. There is also a wash bay/vet exam area, which is being used as a tack/feed room and office until funding for a 60' x 120' indoor arena is raised. (Funds had been raised, but in March 2007 construction was halted when high winds caused the framing and trusses to fall in on themselves.) A larger arena will allow us to serve more riders and host seminars and clinics. We will add 4 more stalls, tack room, feed room & tool room in the area being used for an arena now once the indoor arena is completed. This will expand our horses to a total of 12, again allowing for more riders. Three large pastures give the horses room to play and enjoy their turnout time. Trails have been cut thru the woods so our riders can enjoy the freedom of a trail ride.

The Camelot Center enjoys Premier Accreditation status from the North American Riding for the Handicapped Association (NARHA). This is the highest level of accreditation, and signifies that The Camelot Center provides the safest, most professional, ethical, and therapeutic equine activities available.
